Terms & prices

Order & delivery terms - Your guarantee

  • Our aim is to ensure that you are entirely happy with our Products and our Service.
  • Orders under £57.00 are subject to a minimum £7.50 delivery charge & orders over £57.00 include FREE delivery to the ground floor external door within mainland UK.

    We can also provide, at an extra minimal low cost the;
    delivery to any floor as well as any inside or outside location
    furniture assembly
    positioning of furniture
    removing of packaging
     -  just contact us with a description of the required services so that we can provide our best price.
  • All our prices include VAT.
  • Orders will only be processed upon receipt of full payment.
  • All our products are guaranteed for a minimum 1 year & some products up to 2 years maximum from the delivered date, against defects attributed to the manufacturing process or the materials used. Unless otherwise quoted by the manufacturer, Connections At Home standard guarantee period is 1 year. This does not cover accidental damage, improper use or negligence, or if the product has been tampered with by unauthorised persons. The full terms of the guarantee are specified in the manufacturer's website & matched by Connections At Home. 

Prices & discounts

  • Only a maximum of 1 discount can be used against any single or multiple purchase (note promotions & discounts cannot be combined)
  • In the unlikely case that we are not offering the best price, we will price match but only against authorised dealers selling like for like, original genuine, non ex display & non discontinued products
  • The total cost of our quoted delivered prices includes for 19% of the order value to cover the cost of picking, packing and delivery. For order values under £57 there is an extra £7.50 charge to cover part of these costs. For orders over £57 the picking, packing & delivery costs are NOT past onto our clients but will be deducted from any refunds against returned items.

    Please have your Order Reference ready.
  • In the event that Goods are out of stock, you will be contacted by email or telephoned with information on delivery lead times. If the delivery time is not acceptable, you will have the opportunity to cancel your order or choose an alternative product.

Failed deliveries

  • Goods require a signature unless you specify at your risk Safe "if out instructions". If there is no one in to receive the Goods the carrier will endeavour to find a neighbour & leave a note confirming the location of the delivery. If this is not possible the carrier will leave a card. It is your responsibility to contact the carrier to rearrange delivery. We will provide up to 2 attempts to deliver to the specified delivery address but thereafter each failed delivery (due to the customer not being able to receive the goods, incorect address etc.) will be subject to a  charge of £7.50. If the goods are returned to us at the clients cost, the purchaser will incur a minimum £7.50 delivery charge. Redirected goods to a 2nd delivery address will incur a £7.50 admin & delivery charge.

    Cancellation of an order following a failed delivery will be subject to a 19% fee to cover the transportation & restocking cost.

Damaged goods, returns & cancellations

Every effort has been made to avoid any inaccuracy; however we are only human. If an error occurs in our pricing, images, codes, sizing, dimensions, capacities and descriptions, it is not in any way to mislead our customers and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

Delivery

FREE mainland UK deliveries for all orders over £57.00

All UK mainland orders, totalling £57.00 or more can be delivered FREE OF CHARGE to the external ground floor door/entrance.

The delivery time for our FREE OF CHARGE and standard delivery services are, generally within 19 working days. Note, we do offer express 3 day, next day and specified day delivery options. However, because many of our suppliers factories close in August, the delivery times can be extended during this period. Working days are Mondays to Fridays (excluding weekends & Bank Holidays). Internal handling, assembly/installation & removing the packaging is available at an additional cost.

Orders under £57.00 are subject to an additional minimum delivery cost of £7.50. To find out the lowest & most suitable delivery cost option, please call our customer services on 01702 527545.

NEXT & 3 DAY delivery options are;
delivery time is calculated for orders received by 10am of any Monday to Friday standard working days requiring up to 1 or 3 full standard working days (i.e. not weekends or Bank Holidays) prior to completing the delivery
applicable to orders up to 40 kg per consignment
applicable to any Mainland England address

WEEKEND DELIVERY
If you require a WEEKEND delivery outside of an express delivery period, it is £19.50. If you require a weekend & express delivery on or within a 3 full working day period, you will have to add the 2 together ie a total of £29.00 (£19.50 plus £9.50).

Please contact us by telephoning 01702 527545 for advice on the most suitable delivery service, especially if you require a very quick delivery or delivery on a precise date. All orders are despatched as a ‘recorded type delivery service’ using our own vehicles or national or international carriers.

Delivery to anywhere outside of UK

Our delivery prices are generally door to door but do not include for any local import taxes, customs clearance or duties. If these are applicable, they are the responsibility of the purchaser or end user to pay, at the point of entry, to the destination country. If there are duties &/or import taxes due, the delivery address will be to the closest designated customs terminal location for the purchaser's collection.

Click and collect

When its convenient, you can order and pay for your goods online as usual, and then collect from our warehouse in Progress Road, Leigh-on-Sea SS9 5PR. Select 'Buy & Collect' under the Delivery options when you get to the Basket page. Please leave a note with your order stating when you would like to collect, so that we can make sure that your goods are ready.

Fitting service

Connections At Home can provide a professional skilled fitting service which includes the handling, assembly, positioning & clearing away of any surplus items/packaging — all of which is available on request & at a minimal extra cost.

Delivery time

Unless we are advised otherwise of any earlier delivery date or delivery deadline, the FREE and STANDARD delivery times are generally completed within 19 working days. Quicker delivery options including 3 DAY, NEXT DAY, WEEKEND etc. are available but have to be selected when placing your order. Working days are Monday to Friday excluding weekends & bank holidays.

Signed deliveries

In our packaging process, we thoroughly protect our products to avoid damage in transit. However, if there is any damage to the external packaging, then the contents must be inspected for breakage or damage. If you then find any damage, the delivery must be signed for noting that the "goods or packaging arrived damaged". If the delivery is "signed for" without any notification of any damage, this will nullify any claim for a refund or a free of charge replacement. All the contents should be inspected & any faults registered with Connections at Home within 5 days of the delivery.

Returns & Cancellations

Missing or broken or faulty goods

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or faulty item;
- if damaged, then the delivery (box or contenrs) must be "signed for" as damaged and we will replace it Free of Charge
- if faulty, then we have to be notified of any fault within 5 days of receipt, to enable us to provide a replacement. 
To qualify for a free replacement or refund, the delivery has to be noted as 'damaged' on arrival or within 5 days of receipt. We do not cover for damage after the delivery has been "signed for". Connections At Home is not responsible for any subsequent damage, after the goods have been delivered and "signed for" without any notification by the recipient of any external box or contents damage. Any items that are missing or broken on arrival, must be notified to Connections At Home within 5 days of receipt.

Refunds against returned items

If within 5 consecutive days of receipt, you decide that the Goods are not appropriate, are unused & still in their original packaging then please advise us by emailing sales@connectionsathome.co.uk.

You may return Goods at your cost for a refund on the Goods. All returns will be subject to a minimum £7.50 or 19% charge (which ever is the greater value). This is to cover the costs to manufacture the goods, original picking, packing & delivery cost. Please make sure you provide sufficient packaging protection, to avoid damage in transit of the returned items & stipulate your order reference number.

We reserve the right not to refund or offer a partial refund on returned Goods that do not comply with the above.
