Alessi Richard Sapper espresso 10 cup coffee maker

This is an excellent coffee maker, which I got as a gift for my husband. It is the second coffee maker I've bought for him as he managed to lose the first one. I would go into details but it is a long story!
This stove top pot brews excellent coffee and is of a very good sturdy design. I chose the first pot we had as we bought numerous cheaper popular brand coffee makers that screw together but had to throw them out as the handles would break as they take the strain when tightening or releasing. I also chose this pot as the other brand are made of aluminium I know there are potential health issues associated and thought it would be safer to make coffee everyday out of stainless steel.
The capacity is good and makes about 3 really good sized cups of coffee, which is how we drink it.
You do need to take care when picking it up after brewing and use a pot holder on the handle. My only criticism is that the base is not so easy to clean but it is minor. In every other way this is a superior coffee maker and well worth the investment so long as you don't lose it!
