Alessi A Lotus Leaf tray/centrepiece

Alessi A Lotus Leaf is a stainless steel tray or table top centrepiece designed by Chang Yung Ho 

This A Lotus Leaf centrepiece/tray model YHC01 is part of the (Un)Forbidden City project. 

This design has taken inspiration from nature with very little extra design influences. This lotus leaf was picked from the lotus pond of The Old Summer Palace and was left six months to dry. This obtained the form, which has been scanned with a tridimensional scanner and transformed in a mould to obtain the unique stainless steel copy that produces the tray. The mould can be used on both sides in order to obtain two different ways of containing or serving and will transform your table into a piece of art.
